first_imgMass Effect 3 Special Edition for Wii U has today been confirmed as a launch title, and Melanie Faulknor, External Producer for the game, has revealed what makes the Special Edition so special. The Wii U GamePad will be used to control your squad-mates, activate their abilities, and utilize Shepard’s abilities too, as well as offering up the ability to play the entire game on its small screen when the TV is in use. However, BioWare is focusing on content and there’s a lot of it coming to the Wii U version. The special edition will include: the Extended Cut DLC, From Ashes DLC, Rebellion, Resurgence, and Earth multiplayer map packs and a bonus heavy weapon. All this DLC will be on disc too, saving you some space and time.Just as importantly, the Mass Effect Genesis interactive comic from Dark Horse will be updated to allow Wii U players to experience the back story of Mass Effect. This means they can choose what happens at key points in the game so their decisions will affect their character’s background as well as what happened in the games previous to ME3. By doing this, the game becomes more accessible to newbies and veterans alike, as if you’ve played it before, you can simply make different decisions to get a different story and ending this time around. It seems BioWare has thought carefully about this port and focused on Nintendo fans that have never played ME before due to the fact it was never available on the Wii. Now they can experience it on Wii U launch day, November 18.via BioWare Bloglast_img
